Oben Electric has produced its 10,000th electric motorcycle at its Bengaluru manufacturing plant, marking a new production milestone for the company’s Rorr range. Alongside the achievement, the company announced that bookings for its Rorr Evo have crossed 25,000 units, with manufacturing and customer deliveries now progressing across India.
The announcement, dated September 28, 2026, highlights the next stage of Oben’s expansion as it works to increase production and broaden its retail presence.
It is important to distinguish the two figures: 10,000 units refers to cumulative motorcycles manufactured, while the 25,000-plus figure represents Rorr Evo bookings. Neither figure represents monthly retail sales.

Rorr Evo Becomes a Major Focus for Oben
The Rorr Evo is emerging as an important product for Oben as the company works through its growing booking pipeline. According to the announcement, production has been ramped up to meet demand, while deliveries have already commenced.
However, Oben has not disclosed the number of Rorr Evo motorcycles delivered so far, its model-specific production volumes or the expected timeline for clearing the current booking backlog.
As a result, the 25,000-plus booking figure provides an indication of customer demand, but delivery numbers will be a more direct measure of how that demand translates into actual vehicle sales.
Oben Electric founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal said the 10,000-unit milestone reflects customer confidence in the brand and indicated that the company’s next phase will focus on expanding its reach to additional cities and riders.
Bengaluru Facility Has 1-Lakh Annual Capacity
Oben’s manufacturing operations are based at a 3.5-acre facility in Bengaluru, which has an installed annual capacity of 1,00,000 electric motorcycles.
The company follows an in-house development and manufacturing approach for several major components. These include LFP batteries, electric motors, vehicle control units, chargers and proprietary software.
This level of vertical integration gives Oben greater control over various stages of product development and manufacturing. However, installed capacity should not be confused with actual production.
The company has not disclosed its current monthly output or plant utilisation levels. Therefore, the 10,000 motorcycles produced so far cannot be directly used to calculate the facility’s capacity utilisation.
Retail Footprint Set for Further Expansion
Alongside manufacturing, Oben is also working on increasing its physical retail and service presence.
The company currently has more than 150 showrooms across over 90 cities in 18 states, supported by dedicated Oben Care service centres.
Oben plans to establish another 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27. This represents additional outlets and is not a target of 200 showrooms in total.
A larger network could give customers in more markets easier access to test rides, vehicle purchases and after-sales support. The overall impact of the expansion will also depend on the availability of service infrastructure, spare parts and support facilities alongside the new dealerships.
With production reaching the 10,000-unit mark and Rorr Evo bookings exceeding 25,000, the next key indicators for Oben Electric will be delivery volumes, booking fulfilment, manufacturing output and the pace at which its planned retail expansion takes place.
