Porsche has brought its Cayenne Electric to the Indian market, introducing an all-electric version of its popular luxury SUV with a starting price of ₹1.77 crore. The range also includes the performance-oriented Cayenne Turbo Electric, priced at ₹2.28 crore, which delivers up to 1,156 PS.
The electric Cayenne is available in two variants and continues to be sold alongside the petrol-powered Cayenne. Porsche has already begun customer deliveries in India, with the first handovers starting on September 30 following the SUV’s launch in Mumbai.
Porsche Cayenne Electric: India Price
| Variant | Ex-showroom Price |
|---|---|
| Porsche Cayenne Electric | ₹1,77,27,000 |
| Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric | ₹2,27,51,000 |
The Turbo Electric currently represents the flagship of Porsche’s electric Cayenne range in India. Since Porsche offers a wide range of optional features and personalisation choices, the final on-road and configured price can be significantly higher than the introductory ex-showroom figures.
113 kWh Battery Powers Both Versions
Underneath the bodywork, both Cayenne Electric variants feature a 113 kWh high-voltage battery pack and a dual-motor setup. Motors positioned on both axles provide all-wheel drive, while the electric powertrain combines performance with the ability to cover long distances.
The standard Cayenne Electric produces up to 442 PS (325 kW) when Launch Control is activated. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 230 km/h.
Depending on the selected configuration, Porsche’s global figures put the model’s combined electric range at approximately 568–641 km.
Turbo Electric Pushes Output Beyond 1,000 PS
The Cayenne Turbo Electric takes the performance credentials several steps further. With Launch Control, its electric powertrain can generate a staggering 850 kW, equivalent to 1,156 PS.
The result is a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds, while maximum speed stands at 260 km/h. Porsche quotes a combined range of around 557–622 km, depending on the vehicle’s configuration.
The combination of SUV practicality and this level of electric performance places the Turbo Electric among Porsche’s most powerful road-going models.

800V Platform Enables 10–80% Charging in Around 16 Minutes
Porsche has also focused heavily on charging performance with the electric Cayenne. The SUV employs an 800V electrical architecture and can support approximately 390–400 kW of DC fast-charging power when connected to suitable infrastructure.
Under ideal charging conditions, Porsche says the 113 kWh battery can go from 10% to 80% in roughly 16 minutes.
While charging infrastructure in India capable of delivering such high power remains relatively limited, the Cayenne’s high-voltage system provides substantial charging capability as the country’s fast-charging network continues to expand.
Petrol Cayenne to Continue Alongside the EV
The arrival of the electric Cayenne does not signal the immediate disappearance of the conventional model. Petrol-powered Cayenne variants will continue to be available alongside the EV, with Porsche planning to maintain combustion-engine options into the next decade.
This approach gives the Cayenne nameplate two distinct powertrain paths: traditional petrol propulsion for customers who prefer an ICE SUV and a dedicated electric alternative for buyers moving towards battery-powered performance.
Porsche India Head Ashutosh Dixit highlighted the launch as another step in the Cayenne’s evolution, combining the brand’s performance-oriented approach with its growing focus on electric mobility.
Cayenne Expands Porsche’s EV Portfolio in India
With the arrival of the Cayenne Electric, Porsche now has three electric model lines in the Indian market: the Taycan, Macan Electric and Cayenne Electric.
The latest addition is particularly significant because it brings battery-electric technology to one of Porsche’s longest-running and most recognisable SUV nameplates.
Rather than focusing solely on efficiency, the Cayenne Electric retains Porsche’s emphasis on outright performance. The entry version already delivers 442 PS and a 4.8-second 0–100 km/h time, while the Turbo Electric raises the bar with 1,156 PS and a 2.5-second sprint to 100 km/h.
With its large battery, dual-motor AWD system, 800V architecture and high-speed charging capability, the new Cayenne Electric expands Porsche’s electric range while keeping performance at the centre of the package.
